Sustainable Management
In order to effectively respond to emission trading, we must have adaptable management system and pan-company management function. Asia Cement will form internal organizations in response to emission trading.
We have established vision and goals in response to emission trading and are encouraging the entire members to share them. As the regulations on GHG reduction become more and more restrictive, response to climate change will gradually become one of the core business areas of Asia Cement.
At this imminent time of emission trading, we will regard response to climate change as risk to management and an opportunity to achieve our goals.
In order to proficiently utilize the advantages of emission trading, we must acquire information on marginal abatement cost (MAC) and structure integrated information system on energy and GHG.
Asia Cement will reduce GHG through meticulous analysis on external reduction business using offset policy.
Corporations participating in emission trading must build infrastructure to facilitate transaction. In order to minimize financial risks, Asia Cement has founded internal transaction standards as well as internal control systems including transaction control.
Direct / indirect energy consumption

Through communications with various interested parties, we are methodically making efforts to show our nature-friendly practices to the public.
Every year, the members of our Jecheon plant and other branch plants are planting trees on and around the establishment to reduce GHG as well as diminish noise and improve aesthetics. As for our Daejeon Plant, the idle land by the plant is rented to our staff and neighboring residents as weekend farms.

In 1999, we installed recycling facility for scrap tires and synthetic resins to reduce generation of wastes as well as use of flaming coal and other fossil fuels.
